The desk arrived on time. It was very heavy, so you need help bringing into your house and assembly. The adjustable height of the desk is very useful during long hours of recording. The lights at the ends of the table give it a nice touch. Overall, its a solid desk and its worth it!!!
Great piece of studio office wear. It’s about 6’1 in length, lights up, and goes up and down with an easy to reach button. It fit well in my home studio which is about a 10x11 room. It is very heavy. Crated it is about 350 pounds. Took 4 people about 2 hours to assemble following the instructions. The video instructions are much clearer. Go with the video, it’s on their website. The final product is simply mind blowing and worth the price!
I am very happy with my Enterprise Electric Desk. Assembly was very straightforward, although a little more detail on the lighting connections would have saved some frustration. The only other issue I have is the rack mount screws for attaching equipment. A little longer screw would be appreciated for thicker panels.
Overall I am extremely satisfied. The few issues I had were handled quickly through Customer Service. As this is my second desk from Studio Desk, the first being an Extreme Electric, I can say I am a very happy customer.
This desk is gorgeous. I've bought it after a long research and let me say it... the comfort to use it stand up or sit in my chair thank to the electric legs is absolute fantastic... it is so large that you can put on it everything. Only 5 rack , but for me that I mix and master itb is enough. If you need more space you have always the possibility to buy a rack space separated.
So guys.. 5 stars isn't enough. Really appreciate this desk.
Now that the furniture is assembled, in my living room, and that I use it every day (even while I'm typing this), I'm happy with this sturdy, nice looking and very functional unit. Having bought the Electric Edition, I really appreciate being able to fine tune its height depending on my activity (piano, production, my wife using the desk...) - a memory with 4 profiles as is offered on the XTREME WORKSATION would have been useful, though.
This being said, though, I have experienced a few troubles in the process, and one flaw is still there and will cause trouble in the future. Here are those negative points:
- Delivery: I am not an enterprise in a warehouse but a hobbyist living in a building in town. Therefore, delivery in front of my building of a 170 kg (375 lbs) palette is extremely inconvenient to deal with, to say the least.
- Video instructions could be more precise. For example, screws are not labeled in an Ikea fashion, and sometimes you have to play and pause the video 5 times to guess which type of screw you have to use. You also often end wondering if polarisation is of importance, and if it is, which one should be preferred.
- A few discrepancies between pieces shown and those actually there caused me a few headaches (for example, sticking collars for cable management). In the same vein, one element (an electrical relay I guess) was supposed to have a double face duck tape on it but hadn't - and as you're always assembling this kind of thing on a Sunday, finding some is uneasy.
- It is a shame that holes for cables on keyboard tray are only left and right of back panel but not in the centre, where lies plugs of the very keyboard used on marketing pictures, the Komplete s88 MKII (which happens to be mine).
But my main concern is that one of the two lateral panels had misaligned holes which prevented me to screw it, which I gave up on after having been trying for one hour. This is a concern to me, since it happens that with her job, my wife change position and country every 3 years, meaning we move very often. How will movers manage this piece of furniture with unscrewed panel? Considering the rather high price tag of the unit and the fact that I have already seen other review stating same kind of misalignments, I am a bit unhappy with this issue and expect customer service to contact me back about that.
As I've said, though, the item looks great and well conceived. It accommodates very well my 27" iMac (that was my initial concern because of how is placed the 3U rack) and could accommodate a second 27" screen, I have far enough space but the unit itself is compact enough to sit in any room, speaker shelves are convenient, cable management is good, and - my other initial concern - my heavy and thick Komplete S88 fits in piano tray AND can be played with enough stability (I was afraid the tray would vibrate too much while playing). So all in all, it deserves its 4 stars, and would not need much to earn its fifth.
